...His eyes are narrow in his face as he surveys the crowd converging on the pub, he clears his throat with an ominous growl that makes two clucking women giggle. One places a taloned hand on his chest and cackles 'we'll be on our best behaviour, love!' a chink of mischief in her eye that is abruptly extinguished as his fat paw brushes her off and with a curt nod of the head he dismisses them. Raised eyebrows and pursed lips accompany the high pitched, mocking 'oooooh!' that they emit, then wander exaggerating the hilarity of the encounter and weaving a path towards the bar, fixing upon a lone 'project' at the corner and moving in with predatory stealth, nails clicking against the sticky surface of the bar like an executioners drumroll.
the cloying smell of stale beer, cigarettes and too much aftershave hit my nostrils as I pass the bouncer noticing grazes on his knuckles and the slow, repetitive clench of his stubbled jaw as he chews on gum.

It looks like you're back in the swing of things! I want to go back and go through some of the older posts and refresh my memory and catch up somewhat.
Have you thought of what your long term plans for DIN are? Maybe submitting it somewhere? It seems too good for it to not get the kudos that it should.
BTW, how's school going and how much longer do you have?
studys are going well got about 4 years before i fully qualify, takes a long time!
i never really thought of submitting din anywhere as it grew out of impulse really but as i do more im thinking of it, i know kind of whats going to happen to my character and am looking forward to writing it.
ive got a couple of other novelettes going at the moment, the new blog the thorn tree is more personal and has strong links with stuff i experienced when i was younger, a bit of a catharsis i suppose and another that ive been writing four years now. ive never submitted anything before but when i get a complete one i will and see how it goes! same to you on no ones child, just the suppport you're getting from everyone who reads it is phenomenal and it deserves a wider audience.
